Vipassana Learnings
surfing along
quite fine and dandy
until a wave of strong vedana
and the concomitant remembrance
of hours sat
watching those same feelings
rise and pass, flow and go
breaks the shoreline of reaction
and drops me -silently bubbling - into the sea
of sensation
ready for the next wave
* vedana= sensation

i offered up my heart to god
saying
who would want this rotten cherry
full of worms and decay
the earth! received it graciously
and so a whole tree grows now,
from my corrupt offering....
the promise of spring
